Description

OTF-1500X-80-VTQ is a split vertical quenching tube furnace with an 80 mm OD alumina tube, which is designed for quenching samples from high temperatures ( Max. 1500°C) into an ice water bath or quenching oil to study material phase transitions and microstructures. It is also compatible with air-sensitive samples to heat and quenches in oxygen and the water-free environment with an MTI gas purification and circulation system (as shown in the main image).

(Auto electromagnetic sample hanger is added since 07/21/2016)    (Manual gate valve was upgraded to an electric one since 6/26/2017 )

Furnace Structure

  • Dual-layer steel furnace case with air cooling to keep case surface temperature < 65°C.

  • Vertical and splittable for easy installation of tubes and flanges.

  • Atmosphere-controlled heating treatment with an 80 mm OD alumina tube.

  • Easy quenching control. Simply open the gate valve and let the sample drop directly into the quenching tank by releasing the electromagnetic sample hanger.

Water-Cooled Flanges

  • Brand new laptop with Microsoft Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2013 (30 days free trial) for immediate use.
  • Labview Based Temperature Control System (MTS01) enables a user to edit temperature profiles, manage heat-treatment recipes, record and plot data for MTI furnaces.
  • A wireless remote control provides up to 300 meters of operating range.
