MSK-SFM-15 is a planetary ball mill with independent speed controls of revolution and self-rotation to achieve a flexible speed ratio and different impact and shear effects for different kinds of materials and particle sizes. High-throughput milling jars are optional for up to 32 samples (25 ml each) per batch. Other milling jars and milling media are also available. Hi-throughput milling tanks ( 8 x25 ml jars) are available upon request, which can mill 32 samples per batch. To avoid contamination, please pre-milling the material 2-3 times before normally milling, which can make a coating on the surface of the jar and balls. Please use one jar for one type of material. For milling the oxide material, please choose alumina/Nylon jars and zirconia media. DO NOT USE stainless steel balls in Alumina jars. Must place 4 jars or 2 in symmetrical with similar weights in the ball mill to keep balance during rotation, If using one jar, you must put another jar with the same weight in a symmetrical position.
