The XYZ sample manipulator transfers samples between each location and flips sample for multiple melting cycles. In addition, the melting current, time, and distance are programmable for individual sample that allows different operation parameters for different kinds of materials. The transparent melting chamber allows for in-situ optical measurement and particle scattering during melting and solidification process.
